Last month Charles and I took a drive over to Plaquemine, Louisiana to photograph the picturesque southern wedding of Reily & Doug. The ceremony was held in the garden beside the family home that was once occupied by Reily's grandparents. Reily spent many weekends in her childhood attending family weddings and celebrations at this former plantation, dreaming of the day she would have her own 'backyard' wedding...
As a lover of vintage books, this might go down as my favorite shoe shot - ever. |

I really loved the attire for the guys - perfect for an afternoon ceremony.

Doug and his brothers escorted their mother down the aisle.

An emotional moment for Doug...

Could this place BE any prettier?!

On the lawn in front of the house...

How spectacular is that sky?!

For me, THIS is what southern weddings are all about...

Thanking their guests for coming...

And a special treat today because we've fallen a bit behind on blogging and you deserve something nice... A new 100:1 feature - well, closer to 200 images from 1 wedding, but who's counting? ;)
To see even more loveliness - and trust me, you want to take a peek - click on the image below to lauch Reily & Doug's wedding gallery. To see the highlights from the day in slideshow form, you can click the "Highlights' link on the main page. ENJOY! |
