As a continuation of our flashback series, here's a peek at what we were up to in November 2010. It was a busy month filled with travel, lovely people, and picturesque settings. November 2010 was so busy, in fact, that this recap will be broken into segments again - too many images for just one post! Look for the rest of our monthly recap throughout the week.

Monday / November 1, 2010 = Jasmine's Bridal Session -- New Orleans, LA -- Longvue House

You might recognize our lovely bride Jasmine from her NOLA engagement session seen here. We'll be sharing her beautiful New Orleans wedding on the blog when we start our 2011 flashback series - stay tuned!

Friday / November 5, 2010 = Michele + Michale Wedding – Orlando, Florida -- Reunion Resort

We had the pleasure of visiting Michele & Michale in Tampa, FL for their engagement session, featured here, and had been looking forward to their wedding day ever since. This was our second time getting to work at the beautiful Reunion Resort in Central Florida and we were excited to be back at such a stunning property. Regular readers might recall the wedding of Brittany & Adam - also at Reunion - seen here. It's such a large facility, that we managed to photograph two weddings at the same resort with ceremonies and receptions in completely different spaces. One resort, two ways :)

These flower girls were so cute - little divas in front of the camera, too!

Emotional dads get me every time... I just adore father-daughter dances.

Check back again SOON for the stunning Rosemary Beach wedding of Megan & Tom - up next - plus lots more!

Today we're revisiting some of our favorite shoots from October 2010. (You can see part one of our flashback here.)

We've shared select images from this first shoot once before, I know - but since it is my favorite session ever (!!!) - indulge me with a few more, won't you?

Tuesday / October 19, 2010 = Annette -- Bridal Session -- Donalsonville, GA (private residence)

Saturday / October 23, 2010 = Margery + Dan Wedding – Ft. Walton Beach, FL

Saturday / October 30, 2010 = Sarah + Patrick Wedding – Plaquemine, LA

We've had the privilege of photographing several lantern send-offs since October 2010 - but this was our first. Amazing!

Thanks for stopping by, y'all!

Meg

Last week we talked about the return of our flashback series and shared some favorite images from September 2010. Today I wanted to share October 2010 - but it was such a busy month that I'm breaking the post into two parts - with the second half of our October 2010 flashback coming to the blog later this week. We've got a lot of fun shoots to cover, so let's get started:

Saturday / October 2, 2010 = Stefanie + Jake Wedding – Watersound

Thursday / October 7, 2010 = Brittany + Skylar Engagement Session -- New Orleans

Saturday/ October 9, 2010 = Lauren + Scott Wedding – The Ritz Carlton New Orleans

Saturday / October 16, 2010 = Missy + Trevor Wedding – The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island

Stay tuned for part two of our October 2010 flashback...

Recently, I was asked by an editor to submit a handful of photos that best showcase 'overall style and body of work.'
200 miles from home, on a rapidly approaching deadline, I searched the old laptop for what was most certainly a miraculous-but-sadly-nonexistant folder of work that I could pull from.

I hadn't used this laptop, now reserved for Facebook and Pinterest, for a work-related project in AGES. I had all but thrown in the towel when I came across a folder titled MAYBE. Maybe what? Surely this folder was one of my very own creations. Charles would never title a folder something so... nondescript. I clicked inside and found 90+ images from our portfolio - all a little older now - some dating back to 2005. I have no idea why I pulled all of these images into a folder at one time and labeled it MAYBE. Maybe they should go on the website? Maybe they should be used in advertising? Maybe I could hang them in the studio? I'll never know for sure. The one thing I am certain of - I've never questioned my love of these particular images. They are our children = I love them all and imagine I always will. Pulling 10 images was easy - leaving out the other 80 hurt just a little.

These may not be the best images we have ever shot and perhaps, with our full portfolio to choose from, some of these would never make the cut. And still my heart was full sorting through some of our early work and seeing the same intention, care, and mindfulness that I value today. They may not make your top ten - but who knows? Maybe.

Did you have a favorite? Talk to me!

PS - Did you notice that we've shot weddings all over the world? Ya Mon! Check out this fantastic wedding in Negril, Jamaica - where Everything's Irie.

Jessica has been vacationing with her family in Seaside, Florida ever since she was a young girl... so when it came time for this lovely bride to select a ceremony site, the Seaside Interfaith Chapel was the clear winner. With it's soaring ceilings, walls of windows, traditional center aisle configuration, board and batten wooden construction, heart pine floors, and Carpenter Gothic design - this lovely little chapel also made for a sentimental bridal session spot.

This portrait was on display in a big way at the reception - as a 32x48 gallery-wrapped canvas. Larger than life = LOVE!

Back at the house we had to let Little Miss Dixie in on the photoshoot action...

That's just a little preview of more goodness up ahead - we'll have coverage from their Welcome Party, a Bridal Luncheon, a Rehearsal Dinner, and of course the Wedding Day still to come!
